Women Against Fascism
We oppose the rise of fascism. We denounce collaboration with the far right. We scrutinise the opportunistic behaviour of politicians, policymakers and large sections of the media across Europe, the US and parts of the Global South, particularly when they fail to speak out against and resist fascism and authoritarianism. Big Tech’s manipulative and extractive practices are facilitating the rise of fascism. We demand that governments rein in the power of private corporations to protect democracy and citizens.
We share and promote values of inclusion, pluralism and a commitment to anti-racism, decolonizing, human dignity and broad-based solidarity. We believe there is strength in numbers and we invite all those who share these values to join us in upholding them.
The first Tuesday of each month, we meet around noon for a coffee in front of the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels to denounce collaboration with the far right, see WAF CAFF gallery.
